D'Bunchovus is a talented and humorous group of musicians that grew out of the band "2 of Us".

One day, we realized we weren't just "2 of Us" anymore... How did that happen??!! Who are these other people??!! Where did they come from??!! What the...??!!

It was getting confusing... Identity crisis was setting in... Then, in a blink of someone's eye, there was an epiphany.

"AHA!!! We need a new name!"

Weeks passed... Frantic emails... Names flew... We may have cursed...

"Whaddya mean, you don't like the name I picked? That's a GREAT name!"

Somehow... our voice of reason (that would be Gianni) came up with the obvious.

"We really are just "D'Bunchovus".

And so, we are.

Our music ranges from Folk/Americana through Jazz Standards. With many stops along the way.

The members of "D'Bunchovus" are:

Pamela Joyce

Vocals; Guitar; Harmonica; Percussion

Pamela Joyce, the no-holds-barred, soulful singer with Bay Area favorites “FunkSway” and the acoustic 3-piece duo, “2 Of Us”, has been singing on stages from coast to coast for more than 3 decades. Growing up in the northeast, she started singing and playing guitar in folk groups and cover bands in the early 70’s. Since moving to California in 1979, her musical flexibility has enabled her to perform with a variety of bands in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Pamela’s far-reaching vocals offer glimpses of her early musical influences. Taking cues from some of the greatest women of Jazz (Ella), Folk (Joni), Blues (Bonnie), Soul (Aretha) and Rock (Janis), Pamela has developed a style that ranges from sweet ballads to seriously funked-up, house rocking R&B.

Recording artist Peter Welker says, "Pamela has a wonderful gift with her voice and needs to share it with the world."

Tom Farnham

Vocals; Guitar; Percussion; Occasional Ukulele…

Born and raised in Northern California, Tom began playing the guitar and singing at the age of 7. By the time he was 16, he was performing with local bands, and since then has continued to hone his craft on stages throughout the western United States. From his acoustic and vocal-harmony roots to his love of funky R&B, Tom’s versatility has led him to share the stage with a diverse group of artists.

John (Gianni) Lonacker

Bass; Percussion; Humor…

Raised by beavers in Northern California, John started playing the Autoharp when he was 5; piano when he was 6; drums when he was 8; clarinet, cello, tuba, and E-flat alto horn through middle and high school. He wasn't any good at those instruments, but people encouraged him anyway… Finally, practicing the Les Ismore philosophy, he chose Bass guitar because it had only four strings. He wasn't tall enough to play upright so he went electric and hasn’t looked back since (an unfortunate injury sustained while learning the fingerboard).

OKAY... Gianni may be the ultimate punster, but the depth he brings to our sound is serious. We are indeed fortunate to have him performing with us.

Gary Grubb

Vocals; Guitar; Dobro; Pedal Steel Guitar

Gary Grubb is a talented guitarist and vocalist with decades of experience in both North and South Bay Area venues. His unique flair brings new dimensions to the sounds of those he backs making him a popular collaborator for many local musicians both in the studio and on stage.

For several years, Gary and his band, Country Rush, enjoyed a highly successful run at Northern California’s largest and most popular night club, The Saddle Rack. He also spent a number of years performing at clubs in Nevada and the Midwest with headline acts playing country and popular music.

After a hiatus during which he left the club scene to pursue a software development career and raise his children, Gary returned to his first love; music. He continues to sharpen his lead guitar skills as well as his proficiency on the pedal steel and resonator guitar. Of late, Gary has also become a more in depth songwriter and captivates audiences with haunting, heartfelt melodies and lyrics.

Russ Gauthier

Vocals; Guitar; Violin/Fiddle; Mandolin; Banjo; Steel Guitar, etc...

(Seems like that boy can play just about anything...)

As our newest band-mate, Russ brings us that special thing that only a seasoned professional can give you (besides another smart-aleck sense of humor...). He just seems to find the right place and add the right flavor, musically and vocally.

He has toured the world with multiple artists and performed with The New Riders of The Purple Sage for more than 20 years. His compositions have been performed by the Joffrey Ballet!

Although we can't always keep him in our clutches, Russ joins us onstage when his schedule allows and makes us pick up our game that little extra notch.
